Saadi has over 25 years of experience in Strategy Enablement and Management Consultancy.
He has developed Methodologies for Portfolio, Program, Project, and Risk Management. He has sponsored, directed and led PMO initiation and Consulting Projects in several industries like Oil & Gas, Government, Education, Holding, Engineering, Power; supervised the implementation roadmap of each, and managed the relationship with partners, teams and clients. Saadi has delivered hundreds of training courses in Project Management Professional, Program Management, OPM3, Governance, and PMO. He is the developer of the Project Management Post Graduate Diploma at The American University of Beirut (AUB-REP) and (PMD 2.0) that was launched in partnership with SKEMA Business School in France.

Featured Projects

In each of these selected projects, Saadi Adra lead the lifecycle from inception, concept development, contracting, organizaing, recruiting, designing, supervising and monitoring successful implementation along with diverse teams. Saadi recruited, trained, mentored and lead teams over tens of years, some of them started as novice and became international renowned experts. 

 

Integrated Lifecycle Management Framework

This is an academic research that is actually implemented in two enterprises in an efficient manner. The developed framework was discovered using classic grounded theory method with case study and action research approach. The findings proved a pragmatic method to resolve the silo phenomena between different business units within the same organization and aims at enhancing organizational collaboration. The Thesis is conducted at SKEMA Business School.

 

PMO for Amanat Makah Quality Project

Initiated the design and setup for the PMO in 2012, then assigned PMO Directors and sponsored the project in 2013 until 2015. Developed the governance, structure, roles and responsibilities, processes, PMIS, integration with engineering management supervision and construction management staff, plus capacity and capability building. The PMO is considered successful with an active dashboard presenting the status for all 500 projects, with over 25% enhancement in efficiency, HSE and project success.  The PMO is considered a role model to follow in Municipal Quality PMO initiatives in the region. The project is conducted with Khatib Alami.

 

ACE CREDIT Accreditation Program

Lead the first successful accreditation for a training business unit for a local consulting house to earn the prestigious AC CREDIT accreditation from USA, which is the first one in the Middle East and Africa. This entitles attendees of training to earn academic transcripts accepted in over 2000 universities in USA and the world. The Program included the development for academic and administrative processes, functions and roll-out that passed a rigorous audit process. The project is conducted with CMCS Lebanon SAL

 

Project Management Post-Graduate Diploma Program

Developed and lead the initiation and establishment of the new post graduate program with the American University of Beirut Continuing Education Center, managing a team of over 40 international experts, offering tens of courses in nine different focuses covering engineering, business development, health, education, telecommunications, PMO, risk, and other fields. The program has over 100 participants, most of them either got promoted, moved to better careers or opened their own practices. The project is conducted with The American University of Beirut

 

Project Management Diploma / eMBA Program

Lead and developed a joint program to offer project management diploma, co-delivered by Advisors experts and SKEMA business school professors. The program grants 30 ECUs, academic credits equivalent to part of the eMBA in project and program management. During initiation over 12 persons enrolled and are pursuing their eMBA attending courses in Lille, Luxembourg, China and USA. The program is in collaboration it SKEMA Business School, France.

 

Sugar Company Corporate PMO

In this unique project, lead the innovative development for project, program and portfolio management framework, governance and methodologies to manage mega complex programs for the agro-industry. The unique Integrated Lifecycle Management Framework, along with the Coherent Governance Frameworks were implemented within Organizational Project Management, where all departments collaborated actively in a most efficient manner. This project is conducted with KETS- engineering arm of KENNANA in Africa.

 

Oil & Gas PMO

Developed project management methodology for managing EPC Oil & Gas projects through an infrastructure of 30 diverse manufactures in 6 continents. The methodology and governance framework enhanced the collaboration between project management and business development for better estimation and spared the company losses in tens of millions of dollars. This project is implemented with Exterran Eastern Hemisphere Directorate in UAE – under supervision of Houston headquarters.

 

TELCO Project Simplification Method

Lead the simplification of project management methodology to utilize 18 processes instead of 42 while not sacrificing efficiency.  The lighter methodology enabled seamless management for hundreds of small to medium projects. This project is conducted with ALFA Lebanon. 

 

System Integration for Security Academy

Lead the governance for setting up the program management office to build 6 facilities in 5 locations for a security academy, while managing 6 international vendors. The program included master planning for sustainable operations and capacity building including engineering, construction, IT infrastructure, security systems, equipment, the development of over 100 courses, learning management portal and actual operations for five years. The program was initiated with AEC for Nayef Academy in Riyadh but did not proceed into execution.

 

Portfolio Holding Company

Lead the development of portfolio selection for alignment with strategic objectives, minimizing risks and optimizing the utilization of facilities, funds and resources. The portfolio methodology is made for a holding investment in the Levant.




Nuclear Power OPM3 Improvement Planning

Co-conducted an OPM3 assessment for a nuclear power facility in the GCC. The Assessment was followed by an Improvement plan that focused on enhancing processes for managing hundreds of smaller projects efficiently. This is done in collaboration with Claudia Baca, the leading OPM3 Assessor assigned by PMI to train and certify OPM3 Assessors

 

Health Management Information System Program

Lead the collection of requirements and selection for the specific HMIS application for major hospital in Lebanon based on functionalities, quality according to CMMI Level 3, integration of over 30 different functions, such as medical archives, PACS, laboratory, floor, medical disciplines, billing, pharmaceuticals and other functions. Conducted with Hariri Medical General Hospital in Beirut.
